Removable Braces
Return to NHS
Removable
braces can be used to correct the way the teeth bite
together. This treatment is usually done at approximately age 8
to 9 and treatment takes only about 3 to 4 months.
Removable
braces can also be used to widen the upper teeth to improve how the
teeth fit together.
They may also be used at the beginning of a course of fixed braces
to improve an overbite - i.e. the vertical overlap of the tooth and
bottom teeth. Click for example.
